**Fitness Journey Feature: Marcus Sydow**

Marcus Sydow recently shared his fitness journey, highlighting significant personal achievements after joining the Tucson Jewish Community Center (JCC). After 24 years of active military duty, Marcus found himself in an unhealthy state, which affected his family and professional life. In spring 2024, he and his wife, Emi, sought a fitness routine they could engage in together and enrolled in a Body Combat class at the JCC.

Their experience was transformative. Marcus noted that the inclusive community fostered by the instructors made a strong impression on them. The support and accountability offered by the team motivated them to stay committed to their fitness goals. As a result, Marcus has lost over 40 pounds and reported feeling happier, healthier, and more present with his family.

Additionally, their son has also benefited from the Les Mills classes at the JCC, achieving similar weight loss results. Marcus believes that the positive changes in his family's lifestyle and nutrition will significantly shape his son's future.

Marcus expressed gratitude for the support from the JCC staff, particularly the fitness center director, Clive Roberts, appreciating his professionalism and the motivation he provides to the team.

For those interested in starting their own fitness journey, more information can be found at tucsonjcc.org/fitness-wellness.
