Arizona Arrests Two in Cockfighting & Illegal Enterprise
On October 29, 2025, Arizona Department of Public Safety State Gang Task Force detectives arrested Coolidge residents Samuel Felix, 60, and Gerald Vaughn, 61, after a large-scale investigation into a cockfighting and illegal enterprise operation. Both individuals are charged with controlling an illegal enterprise (one count each) and cockfighting (80 counts each). In addition, Gerald Vaughn faces three counts of animal cruelty related to the condition and treatment of other animals on his property.
