United Way VITA Volunteers Return to Supai
United Way of Tucson’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers will return to Supai for their second visit this year, Rhode described by a post shared March 12, 2025.
The volunteers will be onsite at the Learning Center Monday, 3/24 through Sunday, 3/30, and will be available each day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. VITA volunteers provide free income tax preparation services. The post said people who want tax returns prepared should stop by during the hours listed.
The post also said the VITA volunteers have teamed up with Red Rock Free Tax Assistance (RRFTA), a small nonprofit staffed by highly experienced volunteer CPAs. RRFTA can prepare returns that are more complicated than what VITA typically prepares, and it provides free services to members of the Havasupai Tribe or those living on Havasupai tribal lands.
In addition, the post said the VITA volunteers have partnered with DNA People’s Legal Services, specifically its Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC). LITC provides free legal services for people who have received correspondence from the IRS. The attorneys can represent people before the IRS for tax-related issues.
The post said anyone who needs RRFTA or LITC services should stop by and talk to the volunteers during the Supai visit.
