Bikes for Change: Tucson Kids' Make a Difference Day

Staff Report / Tucsonlocal.org

On Saturday, October 26, El Tour Bikes for Change (BFC) and the City of Tucson will organize an event for underserved youth as part of Make a Difference Day. Together with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson, Serve Our City, and other local nonprofits, they will assemble and distribute 1,000 bikes, along with helmets, locks, and bike lights, to children aged 7 to 17.

Chief Kasmar, the City of Tucson Warehouse team, and local churches involved with Serve Our City are collaborating on this effort, which has helped equip over 4,500 youth in Tucson over the past three years. The event aims to benefit the community's youth and foster opportunities for active lifestyles.

Media representatives are invited to attend the event to witness its impact on Tucson's youth.
