Nineteen elementary school students from the Tempe Elementary School District competed in the 2026 Tempe Elementary Schools Spelling Bee held this morning. After several rounds of competition, Adam Silverman from Fuller Elementary was declared the champion. He will represent the district at the Maricopa County Regional Bee on February 21.

Runner-ups from the event who have been named alternates for the regional competition include Georgia Germer from Rover Elementary, Bryson Jackson-Stallings from Shamley School, Dani Plata from Meyer Montessori, and Emma Elson from Ward Traditional Academy.
