Arizona State Troopers celebrated the graduation of 54 new members at the State Trooper Academy on May 29, 2025, in Mesa. The graduating Class 37 was the largest in the department’s recent history, made up of 34 cadets and 20 lateral officers from other law enforcement agencies.

Governor Katie Hobbs attended the graduation and addressed the new troopers, wishing them success in their careers. Colonel Jeffrey Glover, Director of the Arizona Department of Public Safety, also spoke at the event and administered the oath of office.

The newly commissioned troopers have been assigned to various duty stations across the state, including Black Canyon City, Casa Grande, Douglas, Flagstaff, Holbrook, Kingman, Nogales, Oracle, Parker, several locations in Phoenix (Capitol, Metro Central, South, East, and West), Prescott, Quartzsite, Safford, Sierra Vista, Springerville, Tucson, Willcox, Winslow, and Yuma.

Each trooper will now begin a 12-week field training program, during which they will work alongside senior troopers as they start their highway patrol duties.
