October is National Farm to School Month, and the Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) is highlighting its efforts to support local agriculture. This year, TUSD has served 27,470 pounds of local produce to its students. The district has spent a total of $53,235.99 on local produce expenditures as part of its food services program. This initiative aims to provide students with fresh, nutritious meals while supporting local farms.
